Gravebloom gameplay showing a lantern vessel carving a line through a dark arena to reclaim stained glass
Every closed line takes back part of the arena.

The rule

Cut. Close. Reclaim.

Gravebloom follows the territory-capture tradition of Qix and Volfied, then puts the risk inside a gothic stained-glass world. The larger the region you attempt, the longer your unfinished line stays exposed.

  1. 01

    Leave safety

Step away from the reclaimed border to begin a cut through the blight.

  2. 02

    Hold the line

Reach safe ground again before a threat touches your unfinished trail.

  3. 03

    Bring it back

Close the cut and the stained glass beneath the enclosed ground returns.

What waits inside

One rule. Ten windows. Four ways to survive.

  • Ten authored stagesEach arena hides its own stained-glass window and threat arrangement.
  • Four lantern vesselsChoose DASH, WARD, ROOT, or SURGE—one strategic gift, never a passive advantage.
  • Four readable threatsDrifters, Listeners, Border Wardens, and Proximity Mines each break a different safe habit.
  • A churchyard archiveTwelve buried deeds bloom as you restore them across your runs.

Early build

Five minutes is enough to help.

Gravebloom is playable now and still being shaped. If you try it, the useful questions are simple: did the rule make sense, did closing a cut feel satisfying, and where did you stop wanting to continue?
